Learn how the rosters for leagues and tournaments are managed and what inviting does and what accepting the invitation does.
We leave the roster management responsibility to the team's captain who is overall responsible for the team.
Still, the flows and processes are there to reinforce invitation acceptance and to be able to send invitations to players.
Below, a quick view on how to invite players to your team via email and how this shows in the roster page:
- You can always invite players by going to your team's roster and click on Invite Players:
- Once you've invited the players, if you go to the roster page, the invited players will show as Pending. See first image above.
- The status will not change their ability to play or pay, which is what we leave in hands of the captain to control, as some players may not log in to the website and still play, for example.
- Note that team captains can change various settings such as team size and team name by clicking Edit Settings
- Now, when the player accepts the invitation, if he/she has an account in your league, he/she will be logged in and taken directly to the payment page and will have a confirmation email that the invitation has been accepted.
