How Do I Create a Category?

Categories are used to group similar programs together.

1. To create a new Category, you will need to log in to the Playbook Back End of your website. (mywebsite.playbookapi.com/control_panel). 
2. From the top navigation bar select Programs then Categories. 
3. Once you are on the Categories tab, go ahead and click Create Category
   
4. A pop-up window will open where you can set up all the relevant information
   1. Category Title will be the name of your category
   2. You can also choose to give it an Abbreviated Title. This allows for the abbreviations to come up as a result on the search bar
   3. The Registration Open and Is Active toggles, which should both be turned on if you are planning on running any programs within the category 
   4. Under (Advanced) Registration Options you will be able to link the category to a specific Sport/Activity and Group type
   5. Once you are happy with all the settings, you can go ahead and press Save to finalize the creation
