Create a Discount

Give users a discount to spend towards eligible a category of programs

  1. To create a Bulk Discount, you will need to log in to the Playbook Back End of your website. (mywebsite.playbookapi.com/control_panel)
  2. From the top navigation bar select Marketing, then Discounts and Promotions, then Bulk Discounts. 
  3. Once the page has loaded, if you have other bulk discounts you will be able to see a list. To create a new bulk discount click Add New Bulk Discount on the right hand side
  4. A window will pop-up and allow you to enter the relevant information
     
    1. Name
    2. Is Active toggle which must be turned on for discounts to be applied
    3. Start Date is when you want the discount to start applying
    4. End Date is when you want the discount to expire
    5. Minimum Price can be used if you want the bulk discount to only apply to orders over a certain amount
    6. Maximum Price can be used if you want the bulk discount to only apply to orders under a certain amount
    7. You can choose to give the discount in the form of either a Dollar/Credit Amount, or as a Percentage
    8. You must apply the bulk discount to a Category by clicking the orange Find button. You will be taken to another tab or window where you will see a list of categories currently in your system. Simply click on the blue Title/Name of the specific category you are looking for (leftmost column)
      1. Note that the bulk discount will only apply to a specific category, and you will have to create another bulk discount for programs in separate categories
