Creating Staff Roles

You can easily associate groups of permissions under a single staff role

  1. Log in to the Playbook Back End of your website. (mywebsite.playbookapi.com/control_panel). 
  2. From the top navigation bar select Staff then Staff Roles
  3. On the Staff Roles page you’ll be able to see a list of the current roles already in the system
  4. Once you click Add New Staff Role, a pop-up window will appear where you can enter the details of the role
    1. You can enter the title in Name and also have the option of assigning the role to a specific sport
    2. If the Only use for permissions toggle is turned on, this staff role will not be rentable. If you plan on allowing members of this staff role to be rentable/available for bookings you should leave this toggled off
    3. You can also select specific Site Wide and Dashboard permissions to the particular staff role
      1. Site Wide Permissions include things such as creating, editing and deleting seasons, clubs, memberships etc.
      2. Dashboard Permissions include things such as viewing and deleting registrations, financials and user information
