How Do I Create Rentable Time Slots?

  1. To get started creating rentable timeslots, you will need to log in to the Playbook Back End of your website. (mywebsite.playbookapi.com/control_panel)
  2. Click over to the reservations tab On the calendar page, click the the + Create button, and then click Reservation
  3. You will be taken to a pop-up window that will allow you to enter all the important information
  4. From the Resource dropdown, you can select a specific location/sublocation or rentable staff member
    1. If you select a facility that contains a Sub Facility, you will have the option to choose a specific Sub Facility
    2. If you select a rentable staff member, you will have the option to choose a specific facility to associate the rentals to (if that facility also has a sub facility, you will be able to choose a specific sub facility as well)
  5. You have the ability to choose between Static Pricing and Dynamic Pricing
    1. If you choose Static Pricing, simply enter a price per hour and now every rental session will be set at that price
    2. If you choose Dynamic Pricing, you will be able to set different prices at different ranges of time.
      1. To get started on Range 1, set the box before the arrow to 0, and input your desired interval in minutes in the box after the arrow. Then, add the price per hour you would like to charge
      2. Click the + Add Range box at the bottom to enter your next Range. Make sure that the number you enter in the box before the arrow is the same as the number you put in the box after the arrow of the previous range (in this case Range 1)
  6. You can then set the Minimum and Maximum rental times (in minutes)
  7. You can also set the Start Date of the rentable timeslots
    1. You can also choose how often the rental will repeat from the Recurs dropdown. You have the option of choosing from never, daily, weekly and monthly, and if you select anything other than never, you should set an End Date for this rental
      1. For weekly, you will be able to select the specific days of the week you would like the timeslots to be available
  8. You can also input the Start and End Times, which you can consider the hours of availability
  9. The Increment is measured in minutes, and will determine the time intervals that will be available to reserve for customers in the front end
  10. Once you are happy with all the settings, you can click Add Reservation
